The mission of the Investigation Division is to identify, apprehend and prosecute violations of the criminal laws of the State of Utah and the United States through professional investigation of criminal complaints.
Investigations Conducted by Special Investigations and Public Corruptions Unit
Many of the investigations conducted by the Special Investigations and Public Corruption Unit (SIPCU) are referred to the Attorney General’s Office through other law enforcement agencies within and outside the State of Utah, as well as well as citizen complaints. The investigations are either multi-jurisdictional, interstate, conflict or specialized cases.
