Interns

The Utah Attorney General’s Office offers exciting and fulfilling internships for college students or recent college graduates. There are two types of internships, Legislative and Victim Services. 

Legislative internships take place during Utah’s Legislative Session (seven weeks in January through March) and are focused on assisting the Attorney General’s Office monitor legislation relevant to our office. Applications are due by mid-November each year. Those wishing to apply for the 2024 Legislative Session should do so by mid-November, 2023.

The Victim Services Internship is part-time and unpaid. Schedules are flexible. Victim Services interns work on criminal appellate cases, human trafficking cases, capital cases and other felony cases involving victims of crime. Duties include: informing victims of their statutory victims’ rights; notifying victims of court hearings, accompanying victims to court; following up with victims regarding case status; identifying victims’ needs and providing referrals/resources; and other tasks as needed.
